Rules

Version 1.0, September 2026. These rules apply to the assessment, verification and recognition. They are reviewed once a year and every change is published here.

1. Eligibility

  • Any manufacturing or processing site, of any size, in any country, can take the assessment.
  • Taking part is free. No purchase from TEEPTRAK or anyone else is required at any stage.
  • Each site is assessed separately. A group may enter as many sites as it wishes.
  • The person answering must work at or for the site and be in a position to know its practices.

2. The assessment

  • Answers describe the site's bottleneck or main line on a normal week.
  • A site may re-take the assessment at any time; only a verified assessment counts for recognition.
  • Deliberately misleading answers make the site ineligible for recognition for two cycles.

3. Leagues

A site belongs to the league of the country where it is located. Countries not listed on the recognition page are attached as follows: Africa (except North Africa) and Oceania to France and Western Europe; North Africa to India, Middle East and Türkiye; South-East Asia to India, Middle East and Türkiye until a dedicated league exists.

4. Verification

  • Open to sites whose latest assessment shows Level 3 or above.
  • Consists of evidence shared in advance and a 45-minute video interview with two jurors of the site's league.
  • The verified result is sent in writing within four weeks and is valid for 12 months.
  • The verified level can be higher or lower than the self-assessed one.

5. Recognition cycles

  • Two cycles per year and per open league.
  • First cycle: leagues France and Western Europe, and Americas; cut-off 31 March 2027. Sites verified before the cut-off are considered.
  • Other leagues open recognition once their jury is formed; the opening and its cut-off are announced at least three months ahead.
  • Frontline Team nominations open in Q2 2027 under rules published at least one month before.

6. Use of the recognition

Recognised sites may use the words and mark of their recognition, with the level, league and year, in their communication for 24 months. The mark may not be altered or used for another site. Recognition is not an endorsement of any product, including TEEPTRAK's.

7. Withdrawal and removal

A site may withdraw at any time by writing to info@factoryexcellenceawards.com; its data is then handled as set out in the privacy notice. A recognition may be withdrawn if it was obtained with misleading evidence, after the site has been heard.

8. Organiser

The Index is organised by TEEPTRAK SAS as described on the who runs this page. The organiser may amend these rules for future cycles; changes never apply to a cycle already under way.
